It’s Time for the Winter Fancy Food Show!

If you find things a bit quiet around Olli over the next week or so, it’ll be because we’re heading west.  That’s right – it’s time for the Winter Fancy Food Show!

The Specialty Food Association has been hosting this event since 1955, and it’s become one of the biggest shows in the food world.  There is a summer show in New York City, and this year’s Winter Show will be in San Francisco.  Between them, over 40,000 people will stop by to see, taste, and feel over 260,000 products.   You can expect to see fresh and organic foods, oils and sauces, beverages, frozen foods, spices, and more.  If you can eat it or cook with it, it will be there.  There’s even a section devoted to packaging.  Most of these items are either a new product from a trusted vendor or a new vendor trying to make a mark.

There are also demonstrations and presentations from some of the biggest names in the food business.  There will be world-famous chefs, educators, and merchandisers.  You may find yourself sampling something savory next to Duff from Ace of Cakes or the CEO of Whole Foods.olli-salumeria-its-time-for-the-winter-fancy-food-show-cured-meats

They also award exhibitors for the tastiest and most innovative products.  We were nominated last year for our Pepperoni, and quite honored to have been recognized among so many talented and creative people.

If you’re near San Francisco between January 19th and 21st, head over to the Moscone Center on Howard Street.  Take a stroll through the most amazing food show you’ve ever attended.  Bring all of your senses, your appetite, and look for us.  We’ll be in booth 4519.
